Amy is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer whose work spans television, stand-up, radio and podcasting. She can currently be seen in Netflix’s Run Away, based on the novels by Harlan Coben. Equally skilled in dramatic and comedic roles, Amy has appeared in Sex Education (Netflix), Life (BBC One), Alma’s Not Normal (BBC Two), Somewhere Boy, Hullraisers, Big Mood (Channel 4) and Amazon’s Last One Laughing. She also joined the latest series of Channel 4’s Taskmaster.

A familiar face on British panel and entertainment shows, Amy has appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (Sky), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC), Pointless Celebrities (BBC), Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.

Following a stellar run at the Edinburgh Fringe with her show The Girl Before The Girl You Marry, Amy sold out London’s Soho Theatre before embarking on her first national tour. She has filmed stand-up specials for Comedy Central, performed at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival New Faces Gala and appeared with a pre-headline set at the Latitude Comedy Arena.

Amy is a four-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and the only act ever to receive two nominations in the same year; for Best Newcomer as a solo act and Best Show alongside her double act, The Delightful Sausage. In 2024, she won Best Show for her critically acclaimed stand-up hour Make Me Look Fit on the Poster.

As a writer, Amy has received nominations for three consecutive shows and has built a reputation for sharp joke writing alongside strong long-form and character work. She was lead writer on the multi-award nominated The Emily Atack Show, wrote for the BAFTA-winning Class Dismissed, and both wrote and starred in CBBC’s Big Fat Like.

With The Delightful Sausage, Amy has written and performed for shows including Late Night Mash and Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer. The duo also created The Delightful Sausage: On Staycations for BBC Radio 2 and the six-part BBC Radio 4 series Big Little Questions, blending interviews with children and original sketch comedy.

A regular voice on BBC Radio 4, Amy has appeared in returning sitcoms including Punt and Dennis: The Train on Platform 4 and Phil Ellis Is Trying. She has also featured on My Teenage Diary with Rufus Hound, Steph McGovern’s Ultimate Choice and Al Murray’s Completely Out of Character.

Amy co-hosts the hit podcast Northern News, featured in The Guardian’s “Best Podcasts of 2023”, and alongside Isy Suttie hosted the BBC companion podcast Obsessed With Happy Valley. She has also appeared as a guest on acclaimed podcasts including Off Menu with James Acaster and Ed Gamble, and Richard Herring’s RHLSTP.
